Artwork (above) by Krista Mehlberg Tuesday afternoon

Please join me Sunday November 12th 1-4:00 p.m., for the Fall 2017 Alameda StudioTime Celebration! This lively art show, Dreams, Dogs (& other animals) and DeForest will feature the latest paintings done by the studio artists, inspired by the works of the beloved Bay Area artist Roy DeForest. I'm very proud of the hard work and unending imagination that went into these multi-layered and creative interpretations of the Nut Art and Funk Art movements.

Please drop-in Sunday, November 12th, anytime between 1:00-4:00 p.m. and enjoy these quirky, crowded and comical fantasy lands filled with bright colors and wonderful creatures.

This show will hang for about a month and you may visit the cafe  ANYTIME with friends and family from November 5th-30th. The art work will be returned to you the first week of December.

Spritzers Cafe is located at 734 Central Ave., Alameda and is open daily 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Looking forward,
Patrice

Playing with Paint, Pattern and the Power of Color!

I'm all set-up for a fantastic 2-week project called The Power of Paint and Pattern. We will create repeat pattern combinations in our Altered Books using simple painting, design, color and craftsmanship skills. It is very challenging and fun and I can't wait to see what the kids do with it.
See you this week!

Fall 2017 is in the Air!

I'm busy painting, planning and gathering supplies for an adventurous Fall semester! I'm planning a project (and a cafe show!) based on work from a recent exhibit I enjoyed at Oakland Museum of California by Roy DeForest. I can't wait to see what the kids create.

The 2017 Fall semester will begin the Monday August 28th and run 15 weeks through December 14th. There will be a Fall Break from November 20-24th. The fee per class is $40.00 and the 15 classes in the semester will be divided into four months (Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec) and the monthly studio fees is $150.00.
Alameda StudioTime has limited spots available. The program is pay-for-your spot, not pay as you can attend. Enrollments are considered ongoing; we reserve a space in the weekly studio class until we hear otherwise. Classes are paid for per class, by the month or for the entire semester. Monthly tuition is based on $40.00 per class divided into the amount of months in the semester and charged until a notice of cancellation. The fee covers the cost of materials. There will be no refund for missed classes. Missed classes may be made up within the semester when make-up spots are available. After the semester ends, any make-up class is forfeited.
